Sala Hars was founded in 2017 by Juan Sala and Doug Harsevoort while studying architecture at Harvard University, where they graduated with Distinction.

Sala Hars was founded in 2017 by Juan Sala and Doug Harsevoort while studying architecture at Harvard University, where they graduated with Distinction. Prior to founding Sala Hars, its partners worked for Herzog & de Meuron, Johnston Marklee and Toyo Ito. The office is currently working on projects in the United States, France, Mexico and Switzerland, with its base in Mexico City. The practice continuously lectures in Europe, Latin America, and North America, and has taught architecture and design at Harvard University. Sala Hars interest in typology and program encompasses projects ranging from single family houses, mixed use commercial and residential projects, luxury retail and hospitality, finding immense value invarious scales and contexts.
